🎃 Fall Fest & Haunted House Night

At Wassamassaw Community Center we kicked off the season with our Fall Fest, held this past weekend — and the highlight had to be our Haunted House open for FREE again on Halloween night!
Families from across the community gathered for games, treats, and a little spooky fun. It was all about good times and local connection: children in costumes, music playing, laughter in the air.
Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, or donated candy — you helped make the night memorable. If you missed it, don’t worry: we’re already planning for next year’s fall celebration.

🎆 Independence Day Tailgate & Fireworks

Our 4th of July Tailgate was one for the books! The evening was filled with music, food, free drinks, and a spectacular fireworks show that lit up the night sky.

Neighbors came out early, setting up chairs and grills for an evening of laughter, good food, and local pride. Kids ran through sprinklers, families shared potluck dishes, and the fireworks finale had everyone cheering.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success. It’s moments like these that remind us why community matters — and why Wassamassaw shines brightest when we come together.

On a recent Sunday, Wassamassaw Community Center opened its doors from 12–2 PM for a Free Food Distribution — a day all about giving back.

Volunteers shared fresh produce, pantry staples, and warm smiles with every family that came through. It wasn’t just about food — it was about community, kindness, and connection.

We’re deeply grateful to our amazing volunteers and donors who continue to make events like this possible. Together, we’re ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.

🏛️ Community Meeting & Open Forum

Recently, Wassamassaw Community Center hosted a Community Meeting where residents gathered to share ideas, discuss upcoming programs, and get updates on future events.

It was a great opportunity to speak directly with center leaders and neighbors, shaping what happens right here at 1023 Queenie Rd. Your ideas matter — and they’re helping us create a stronger, more connected community.

If you couldn’t make it this time, stay tuned for the next one! Bring your thoughts, your questions, and your energy — because the best part of Wassamassaw is you.
